Arvind Gupta is the founder of IndieBio, the world’s largest biotech accelerator, and a partner at a venture capital firm, Mayfield. Previously he was design director of IDEO in Shanghai. He has a degree in genetic engineering from University of California, Santa Barbara. In the past two decades he has been a BASE jumper, big wall climber, and a jiu-jitsu grappler.

Po & Arvind answer these questions, in the book.

Do we have free will? What’s the most dangerous thing in the world? Can we trust the government? Are there aliens on other planets? Is technology dangerous? What is knowable? What is beautiful? How will we make things in the future without destroying the planet? Where do revolutions come from? What is memory? What do you do when you can’t fix it yourselves? What is life? Can you control your body through your mind? If we could eat meat without slaughtering animals, would we? Will we have jobs in the future? Is China going to take over the world? Are patents helpful or harmful to humanity? Does life have meaning? Can we provide health care for everyone? Are parties frivolous? Are computers dangerous? What’s the future of gender equality? Why didn’t the genome explain everything? Is the nature of reality accessible? Where is the soul?
